Forty-five years ago, I had a dear Jewish friend, who loved Yeshua with all his soul, tell me that the trouble with the modern Gentile Church was that it doesn't have enough Jews in it to explain the Scriptures. After all, he said, "All of the first believers were Jews." He then explained to me the Jewish custom of marriage in relation to Yeshua. Not one jot or tittle of the Old or New Testaments are violated by this marriage doctrine. The Jewish marriage customs were "shadows of good things to come" which are fulfilled in Yeshua. Yeshua himself said this in many ways. Because the first Christians were Jews, they understood exactly what He was saying. Open your heart to the Holy Spirit and reread the Scriptures.
